The Morning Show host Larry Edmur has been left red faced after a live on-air pottery demonstration took a R-rated turn.

The embarrassing blunder started off as a well-meaning project by Larry who was attempting to make a clay vase from scratch as a gift for his wife Sylvie.

In December, Larry and Sylvie celebrated 28 years of marriage since their marriage in 1995.

At the time, the seasoned television veteran shared an image of the couple posing in front of a gorgeous sunset.

”From the moment the sun comes up to the moment it goes down and every moment in between I adore you,” the post started.

”The love and warmth and wisdom in those hypnotic magical blue eyes gets me through every day. I hope you let me kiss your cheek and smell your eyebrows like this for another 28 years.”

But back to Larry’s R-rated pottery blunder!

With help from social media star Pottery Boy, the task should have been smooth sailing for the two of them, but as Larry said: ”I think I co**ed up!”

Using a pottery wheel, Larry was following the instruction of Pottery Boy to shape the wet clay, only for things to quickly escalate out of control, as the clay began forming into a phallic shape of the male variety.

His blunder made for a funny scene in the studio with Larry freezing for a moment as he looked on in shock at what he had accidentally created.

Co-star Kylie Gillies then snapped him out of it, laughing as she told Larry, ”I can’t leave you alone for a minute!”

Poor Larry then rushed to squash the clay right down to its original form in an attempt to hide his mistake. But by then, viewers had already clued on as to what he had down.

Taking to his Instagram to address the incident, Larry wrote the following:

”Today in pottery class I made my wife a vase. Thanks @pottery.boy for your guidance, thankyou @kyliegillies for your support.”

The post then continued: ”Thankyou @morningshowon7 for 15 wonderful years, thank you Australia for not cancelling me…Yet.”

Oh Larry, at least he could have a laugh at himself! We know we sure did!
