Kim takes backseat to Kanye’s wedding plans

Seasoned bride Kim Kardashian has decided to let her new fiance, hip-hop artist Kanye West, take charge of their wedding plans, handing over the reins to her hubby-to-be, despite her previous well-publicised experience in wedding planning.

“We honestly haven’t had a moment to talk about it or even breathe, so we haven’t really talked about it, but whatever he wants,” the blushing bride told People magazine.

Wedding bells are chiming for a third time for the reality star after her long-time friend-turned-boyfriend popped the question last week in front of her family and friends.

The couple, who are now proud parents to North West, were celebrating Kim’s 33rd birthday at a privately booked baseball stadium in San Francisco, when Kanye surprised her with a proposal on the big screen, an orchestra and a 15-carat ($1.6 million) cushioned engagement ring to boot!

While Kim’s ring alone could easily fund more than 30 weddings, honeymoons and then some for the average Australian couple, this is nothing out of the ordinary for Kim, who previously spent millions on her marriages to R’n’B producer Damon Thomas in 2000 and basketballer Kris Humphries in 2011.

Here’s hoping Kim’s new union will last longer than her previous one to Kris. The curvaceous star filed for divorce just 72 days after they wed and caused a media circus after it was reported the couple made $250,000 from their short-lived marriage.

A fan of Vera Wang couture gowns, and all things that sparkle, it remains to be seen just how elaborate this high-profile wedding will be now Kanye’s been left in charge.

Like his Kardashian fiancee, Kanye flies the flag for celebrity indulgence and we’re sure his love of bling, coupled with Kim’s track record, will guarantee we’re in for a good show – let’s hope this time the marriage doesn’t end when the curtains go down.
