While there are endless reports about the breakdown of their marriage, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are yet to officially end their relationship. But the pair are clearly struggling as they work through their marital issues.
Although the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians was filmed before their marital woes began to play out in the public eye, Khloe revealed she’s been struggling behind the scenes with her marriage for months.
“There are a lot of emotional issues I think Lamar has,” she says, following a scene that showed her 33-year-old husband continuously call her on her phone while he was away on a basketball training camp.
“I do want to help or cater to Lamar, but there’s also so much somebody can take.”
Lamar recently came under fire for his drug use and rumours of infidelity after being married to the reality TV star for four years.
The episode, which is believed to have been shot in August, clearly shows Khloe’s struggle, and friends of the couple now believe a split is inevitable.
“Lamar is a very depressed person, which is sad but understandable with everything he’s been through in his life,” she says in the episode.
“I do love Lamar with every ounce of who I am, but it’s really scary when someone is in such a deep low and you know they’re relying on you to get them out and you’re trying and trying and trying and nothing’s really working.”
The episode also focused on her fertility issues, as sister Kim, who recently gave birth to daughter North, encouraged her to look into adoption.
Meanwhile, TMZ reports that Khloe refuses to divorce her husband because she’s afraid he may cause himself harm.
Last week her mother Kris Jenner spoke out about her daughter’s struggle, saying she’s “strong” and “resilient”.
“She’s very sensitive and she loves really hard and she feels with all of her soul,” Kris said, on the set of talk show Hello Ross.
“But she also has the ability to put that game face on and go out there in the world and do what she needs to do.”
