Kardashians to end reality show?

Apparently Kim and mum Kris want Keeping Up With The Kardashians to go out with a bang rather than a whimper, after six years and eight seasons.

“It has been the biggest reality franchise of all-time. Both Kim and Kris want to make sure they end on a high note, leaving fans wanting more, rather than try and stretch the show on for another few seasons and watch it die a death,” a family source tells blogger Naughty But Nice Rob.

The reality program launched in October 2007 and follows the lives of wealthy American families, the Kardashians and the Jenners, who’re united by the marriage of Kris and former athlete Bruce Jenner. While the show’s focus was initially on the trials and tribulations of the three curvaceous Kardashian sisters – Kim, Kourtney and Khloe – it has recently taken a Brady Bunch direction by giving more play to the Jenner kids, Kendall, Kylie and Brandon and Brody.

The success of Keeping Up With The Kardashians has sparked four spin-off programs, including Kourtney And Kim Take New York,. But despite their huge success – and reports the clan signed a three-year, $40million, deal with E! in 2012 – a source says the family is looking to lock out the cameras as soon as this season has wrapped.

Reports say that Kim Kardashian, 32, and Kris Jenner, 57, are looking to explore their other options in the entertainment business. With Kim already contributing a lot to the series, including a 72-day marriage, we can’t wait to see what’s ahead of her. As for the head of the family, Kris looks like she’s eyeing an Oprah trajectory with her new talk show launching last Monday in the US.

“Kim wants to be with her daughter and Kanye, while Kris wants to focus on being a talk show host and maybe start producing movies. She’s telling everyone that one day she will have an Oscar,” the source says.

Enormously popular TV show Sex And The City shattered millions of fans hearts when it ended while still at the top of its game. But the next thing the franchise smashed were box-office records. So if history’s anything to go by, we might be seeing a Kardashian movie coming soon to cinemas.
