Four months have gone by since former Home And Away star Johnny Ruffo was diagnosed with brain cancer, and heโs been on the road to recovery ever since. Now, the 29-year-old has shown his incredible transformation.
He took to Instagram to share his amazing progress with a before-and-after photo of his huge scar.
The former X-Factor star wrote: โWhat a huge difference, now I just need my hair back.โ
Fans and friends were quick to share their well-wishes.
โYouโre a true inspiration! Everyone is here for you, mate,โ one person wrote.
Johnny had a seven-centimetre tumour removed from his brain, and has recently been undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy to get rid of the remaining 5 per cent of the tumour.
The hardship hasnโt wavered his positivity, however, and he continues to be involved in charity work for Cure Brain Cancer. He also teased in October that he was back in the studio!
It was in August that the young star revealed the shocking news of his cancer diagnosis.
โSo I have the news,โ Johnny wrote on Instagram. โIt was a bit of a shock and Iโve got an interesting journey ahead and a bit of a battle.
โI am starting aggressive treatment for the next few months to fight the diagnosis of brain cancer. Please stay positive for me and Iโll try to update you guys on my progress.โ
We wish Johnny all the best of luck through the rest of his recovery.
