Calling all Seinfeld fans! The star of the hit sitcom, Jerry Seinfeld, gave us hope for a possible reboot during his visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently.
Ellen bravely asked the 63-year-old how he felt about reviving the popular show that aired from 1989 until 1998.
โAll these sitcoms are having a resurgence,โ the host began. โRoseanne is doing it, I heard Murphy Brown โ is that really true, Murphy Brown is doing it?โ
Jerry then replied, โI think I know where youโre going with this, but why donโt you finish it.โ Ellen quipped back, โWell, do you think, Jerry, there would be a possibility that Seinfeld would come back?โ
Jerryโs answer? โItโs possible,โ he confessed, before getting cut off by a huge round of applause! โOh, they like the idea.โ
It seems Jerry has changed his tone from late last year. In a September 2017 interview with Entertainment Tonight, he expressed that he wasnโt really interested in a reboot. โWhy?โ he asked. โMaybe itโs nice that you continue to love it instead of us tampering with something that went pretty well.โ

Weโve missed these four.
In a previous exclusive interview with Closer Weekly, Seinfeld alum John OโHurley confessed that he doesnโt think the show would even survive in a โcell phone world.โ
โSeinfeld was about the irresponsibilities of young people back in a time when it was okay to be irresponsible. I donโt think it would survive right now. Also, you know why? It would have [cell phones].
โThat was never part of Seinfeld, and I think it would take away from the show because Seinfeld was about people actually looking at each other and talking, or not looking at each other and talking, but it was about one of the two things,โ he told Closer.
โIt was about connection or disconnection, and I donโt think it would work in a cell phone world because it would be too easily replicated,โ John added.
โIt was about authentic communication. When the show went off the air, that was the day the music died.โ Oh yes, it was โ and thatโs why weโre crossing our fingers for a reboot!
