It’s the season of revivals. We’ve had Gilmore Girls, Will & Grace is on the way and now a Beverly Hills, 90210 revival could be in the works.
Jason Priestley, who played teen heartthrob Brandon Walsh on the long-running series, is definitely on board.
“I had a great time working with all those people for all those years on that show,” the 47-year-old actor tells TV WEEK.
Jason starred alongside Shannen Doherty, who played his onscreen sister Brenda Walsh, Tori Spelling as Donna Martin and Luke Perry as Dylan McKay and Jennie Garth as Kelly Taylor – to name a few.
“If the opportunity came for all of us to get together and do it again in some sort of limited-run capacity, of course I would do that with those guys,” Jason says.

The original series ran for 10 seasons from 1990 to 2000 and Jason’s ready to step back in time and pick up right where things left off.
“Are you kidding me? It would be so much fun!” he laughs.
A reboot of the show titled 90210 ran for five seasons from 2008 to 2013, but we want more from the original cast. Just imagine what Brandon and the gang are up to now? The possibilities are endless…

However Jason might have trouble making time for a Beverly Hills, 90210 revival right now, as he’s currently starring in the Canadian procedural Private Eyes which will hit Australian screens later this year.
When asked if he’d ever consider going down the reality TV route like his former co-star Tori Spelling he was quick to shut down the idea. Unfortunately for us, a Keeping Up With The Priestleys style show isn’t on the cards.
“You can expect to not see that show anytime soon,” Jason confirms.
It was worth a try, right?
While Jason’s character Brandon left the show in 1998, he continued working for the series as an executive producer. He also directed 15 episodes.
Perhaps, now we’ve planted the seed, Jason can make a few calls and get this project off the ground. We’ll keep you across any further developments.
