She returned the Summer Bay for a short stint in 2013, so would she consider making another comeback?

“It’s a lovely compliment that there is an assumption Sally Fletcher could rock back up to run the high school whenever she felt like it, but I’m not so sure,” Kate recently told the Sunday Telegraph.

It’s coming up to 10 years since Kate’s character left the show and while many fans would love to see her character return, she remains unconvinced.

Home and Away will always have a very large, special place in my heart, but I’m not convinced we fit together anymore,” she explained.

Sally left Summer Bay in 2008.

However, the Nova radio host is not ruling out a return to TV if the right opportunity presents itself.

“I haven’t auditioned for a while now but I am always reading new scripts,” she admitted to the publication.

“It is something at the forefront of my mind and thankfully Nova have always been incredibly open to me keeping my foot in that door should the right thing present itself.”

With the show’s 30th anniversary fast approaching, there is one way the show-runners could entice Kate to return…

“I would be offended if Sally didn’t get an invite back to a celebration that Alf was throwing,” Kate told TV WEEK.

“They didn’t kill me off, so the option is there.”

Strewth, it looks like it will all come down to Alf Stewart! Better start planning that party Alf, we want Sally back STAT.

The good news is, she still fits in her Summer Bay school uniform.

Kate posted the proof on Instagram as part of a dare from her Nova co-hosts Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold.
