But while the Irish chef’s big ego and take-no-prisoners personality might have initially impressed producers, his fiery attitude is now threatening to derail his TV career, amid strong speculation he’ll be fired after this series.

The MKR boys don’t get along…

Fortunately Seven has already chosen his replacement.

Joining the reality show is Three Blue Ducks chef Darren Robertson, who is being groomed to take over from Colin once this season ends.

The Byron Bay chef is engaged to weather presenter and journalist Magdalena Roze and the pair are the proud parents to their son Archie.

“Darren was a dream,” our source says, adding his attitude couldn’t be more different to Colin’s.

“Colin doesn’t have a filter, which puts people on edge. No one is sure when he’ll turn on them.”

And Colin isn’t the only judge who has the show on a knife’s edge. Be sure to pick up a copy of this week’s Woman’s Day to find out why Pete Evans and Manu Feildel don’t get on and how they have the whole My Kitchen Rules team in a frenzy!
