Christmas has always been a special time for James Stewart. But this year, he’s preparing to spend it without the company of his five-year-old daughter, Scout.
“I think Scout might go away with her mum [actress Jessica Marias], and I might go to Brooklyn [in New York],” James, 42, explains to TV WEEK.
But the actor, who plays Justin Morgan in Home And Away, says celebrating Christmas won’t feel the same without his little girl.
“Scout squeals over Christmas,” James smiles. “I love it.”
Like most parents, the doting dad says he loves nothing more than spending the weeks leading up to Christmas with an over-excited Scout.
“We read all the Christmas stories and sing all the songs. And all of a sudden, she’s making her bed,” he laughs. “I’ll definitely miss her.”
James and Jess welcomed Scout into the world in 2012, three years after meeting on the set of Packed To The Rafters and falling in love.
While the pair split in 2015 they’ve worked to co-parent Scout agreeing that she is their number one focus.
“Once you realise it’s about Scout, everything’s easy,” James told Sunday Style.
