The most shocking moments from House Rules so far

These scenes had our jaws on the floor.
House Rules

This season of House Rules has had more than its fair share of DRAMA. From temper tantrums to medical emergencies, we look back on some of the biggest moments from the series.

Fiona and Nicole House Rules

Fiona and Nicoleโ€™s feedback: Fiona and Nicole were the first to have their home renovated this season, and they REALLY werenโ€™t impressed with the results. Their feedback came as a shock to the teams and the viewers. Considering their holiday shack wasnโ€™t all that to begin with, it would have been nice to hear that they were grateful for the improvements.

Troy and Bec House Rules

Troy and Becโ€™s break up: Renovating is hard at the best of times; we can only imagine itโ€™s ten times harder with cameras documenting your every move. The pressure got to Bec and Troy who broke up during filming. Thankfully, they worked out their issues and got back together again!

Troy & Bec and Kate & Harry from House Rules

Troy and Becโ€™s walkout: Troy lost his temper a few times during his time on the show. But his biggest meltdown happened when Sean and Ella failed Bec and Troyโ€™s bonus room. The other teams werenโ€™t impressed with his behaviour. โ€œIt was childish, definitely,โ€ Kate tells TV WEEK, โ€œespecially after the week before when they had given Sean and Ella a two and theyโ€™d slammed everyone elseโ€™s rooms. Then the tables turned and they couldnโ€™t cop it. We all stood there the week before and copped it like adults and they couldnโ€™t.โ€

Andrew and Jono House Rules

Andrewโ€™s injury: During the renovation on Aaron and Daniellaโ€™s home, Andrew suffered a shocking injury when a piece of glass cut his wrist. Thankfully paramedics Sean and Ella were able to administer first aid immediately, but Andrew was rushed to hospital, leaving Jono a man down to finish the renovation. At the time, the boys thought it might spell the end of their time on the competition.

Troy Sean and Ella House Rules

Troy and the sweaty towel saga: While renovating Sean and Ellaโ€™s bathroom, Troy wiped his sweat on one of the new towels, folded it and put it back away! Thankfully, Ella washed all the towels before they were used! โ€œI had thousands of texts saying, โ€˜I hope you washed that towel!โ€™โ€ Ella tells TV WEEK. โ€œI think the whole of Australia was pretty grossed out about that. It was probably a pretty typical Troy move.โ€

Troy and Bec NSW House Rules

Bec and Troy eliminated: Perhaps it was no HUGE surprise that Bec and Troy were the first to be eliminated this season on House Rules. The couple certainly rubbed a few people the wrong way throughout the competition.

Fiona and Nicole House Rules

Fiona and Nicole eliminated: Fiona and Nicole LOVED to whinge about the โ€œcool kidsโ€ alliance. And in the end, they were the next to go while Andrew and Jono, Sean and Ella, Kate and Harry and Aaron and Daniella remained in the competitionโ€ฆ

Cyclone Debbi: Poor Kate and Harry and Sean and Ella were renovating Aaron and Deeโ€™s house in Queensland when Cyclone Debbie struck! Despite their very best efforts the site was closed down for safety reasons. For the first time EVER, the clock was stopped on a House Rules renovation.

Sean and Ella House Rules

Sean and Ella eliminated: We were really sad to see Sean and Ella go. These guys were at the top of the leaderboard for a while at the start of the competition โ€“ and were strong contenders to win. Alas, the paramedics were sent home after the first round of garden reveals.

Andrew and Jono

Andrewโ€™s outburst: There have been plenty of angry outbursts on House Rules this year, but on Monday night, Andrew lost it over a โ€œzone warโ€ with Aaron and Dee. The twins are normally so happy-go-lucky, so it was strange to see a bolder side to Andrew. Having said that, he was making a very valid point. We canโ€™t wait to see how itโ€™s resolved on Sunday!
