Homeland star James Rebhorn has died aged 65 following a long battle with skin cancer.
The actor, who had a long career in film and television, was found dead at his home in New Jersey on Friday.
He had a long battle with skin cancer, after being diagnosed with melanoma in 1992.
His condition had recently become “drastically worsened” and he had been receiving care at his home, his wife Rebecca told TMZ.
The prolific character actor was most recently known for his role as the father of Claire Danes’s character Carrie Mathison in the award-winning TV series Homeland.
Throughout his career, James had starred in a number of Hollywood films including Independence Day, Scent of a Woman, My Cousin Vinny, The Game, and The Talented Mr. Ripley.
James leaves behind his wife Rebecca and two daughters Emma and Hannah.
