Australia’s first Bachelorette Sam Frost and her beau Sasha Mielczarek are still clearly head over heels for each other.
‘You can say meeting the love of my life has made this the best year of my life,’ says 26-year-old Sam with an ear-to-ear grin.
But the beginning of 2015 was a different story altogether. After her ‘heartbreaking’ break-up from fiancé Blake Garvey, she says, ‘I felt down, I just didn’t have my mojo and was in a bit of a slump. But then I signed on for The Bachelorette after some convincing, and now I feel like the luckiest person in the world,’ she says.
Sash, 30, is eternally grateful he took the leap of faith and went on the show as well. ‘I would have never thought of doing something like this, but I did and I met the girl who has got it all – she’s funny, family oriented and exactly everything that I was looking for.’
While Sam is now trying her hand at brekkie radio alongside Rove McManus, Sasha is back to his job as a construction manager, and the future is bright for the pair.
‘We really want to buy a house,’ admits Sam, with Sash adding, ‘I can’t wait to come home to her every day.’
