Model mum and Home And Away actress Pia Miller is branching out from Summer Bay to star in cop thriller, Bite Club.
The news was announced yesterday at Nine’s upfronts event last night which revealed the shows coming to the network next year.
The press release reads: “After surviving a shark attack two detectives join forces to hunt the ultimate predator, the serial killer who is also hunting them.”
Pia joins an incredible cast, including Todd Lasance (The Vampire Diaries, Underbelly Files: Chopper), Ash Ricardo (Offspring), Damian Walshe-Howling (Underbelly, Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms), Deborah Mailman (Offspring), Robert Mammone (Underbelly), Marny Kennedy (Janet King), Darcie Irwin-Simpson (Love Child) and Dominic Monaghan (Lost, The Lord of The Rings).
The show is currently filming in Sydney’s northern beaches and will run for eight episodes.
Ash and Todd will be starring as the detectives who try to catch a serial killer among a series of shark-attack survivors (who call themselves the ‘bite club’).
Nine’s Heads of Drama Andy Ryan and Jo Rooney said about the show: “With its international all-star cast, stunning locations and gripping crime stories, Bite Club is set to be the freshest and most thrilling new drama of 2018.”
Pia, who is a mum to two sons, Isaiah, 14, and Lenny, 10, recently told The Daily Telegraph that she’s auditioning for more roles.
“I take it day by day and I audition for things when they come up. I don’t have my sights set on Hollywood, which is always publicised about me. It’s not the case.
“I’m just enjoying what I’m doing and spending time with family,” the Chilean-born beauty said.
