So, to get in the festive mood we caught up with some of our favourite Summer Bay stars to see how they plan to celebrate the holiday season.

Anna Cocquerel: “The worst present I ever received was a printer.”

Lukas Radovich: “I’ll be with the family in the Blue Mountains [west of Sydney]. We gather for a Polish-Catholic dinner on Christmas Eve – my mum is Polish – and we all cook. I’m usually in charge of making the entrées each year.”

James Stewart: “I love the moment Scout [his daughter] wakes up and there are crumbs on the plate, and Rudolph has eaten his carrots. It’s really special.”

Raechelle Banno: “Each Christmas, I volunteer to make dessert for the family. Last year, I made some gingerbread cookies and brownie Christmas trees. No-one ever likes to eat them, but I like to make them.”

Scott Lee: “My parents once gave me tickets to The Lion King. I really like when my parents come and see a show with me. They jump into my world a little bit, and it’s nice.”

Sophie Dillman: “The key to Christmas is the ham. We normally have a pre-Christmas ham to ensure the glaze is going to be perfect for Christmas Day.”

Penny McNamee: “My parents often hold a nativity play and carols night at their house. I always organise a Kris Kringle for the family as well.”

Orpheus Pledger: “Our family is really spread out across Australia, so we have a big family get-together. It will be nice.”

Emily Symons: “I’m looking forward to Christmas Day. I’ll be having Christmas lunch with my son Henry, my brother, and Henry’s young cousins. With four kids under seven, it’s always lots of fun!”

Ada Nicodemou: “Christmas is always at my house, and there’s always a lot of seafood. We’ll do a Greek barbecue and play games.”

Kestie Morassi: “The best Christmas present I’ve received was from my auntie and uncle who paid for a trip to Thailand. That was incredibly generous.”

Rohan Nichol: “We had a Kris Kringle last year, and I really needed some hankies. So I bought the hankies and then I walked away with them. Best present given and received!”

Sarah Roberts: “We get a fresh Christmas tree and watch Love Actually every year. I also watch the carols [on TV], while eating a lot of food!”

Jake Ryan: “We all head down to the coast [in Victoria]. I’ll have my four nephews running around. So I get to relive Christmas through the eyes of the kids.”

Olivia Deeble (right): “Christmas is really about family for us. It’s all about giving. A lot of our presents are handmade.”
