Could we be seeing a lot more of British superchef Heston Blumenthal on MasterChef Australia in the future?
The 51-year-old โจโ whoโs a guest judge this week โ says heโs open to becoming a permanent fixture on the show.
โIโd love to be transferred onto the show as a permanent guest,โ Heston says, adding he loves working on the show and spending time with judges Gary Mehigan, Matt Preston and George Calombaris.
โWeโve spent week or two-week blocks together and weโve grown together,โ he explains. โThereโs camaraderie on set โ itโs like family.โ
As for the contestants, Heston, who travelled with them to rural Australia for a challenge this season, says theyโre better than ever.
โYou think the level of contestants canโt get any higher, but I canโt believe the standard [this season],โ he reveals. โItโs gone up so much.โ

โShe loved it and sheโs got a good connection with โจthe crew,โ he adds.
A divorced father-of-three, Heston laughs when asked if he and Stephanie would consider getting married in the future.
โIโve never been happier in my โจlife,โ he says, adding he hopes to โจbring his children โ Jack, 24, Jessie, 21, and Joy, 19 โ with him next time heโs down under.
โTheyโve heard enough about it from their dad and theyโve been big fans of MasterChef Australia since season one,โ Heston says.
โThey havenโt been able to get time to come out, but next year Iโll plan โจit so they can come along.โ
