She graced our screens as Patricia on Love Child and Stevie in Stan’s The Other Guy and now Harriet Dyer is heading to the US after landing a major new gig.
Harriet has been cast as the female lead, Cassie, in NBC’s new drama In Between Lives.
The pilot comes from writer Moira Kirkland at Heyday Television and Universal TV, and centres on Harriet’s character Cassie, a young clairvoyant woman who reluctantly uses her gift to help a veteran LAPD detective and a damaged ex-FBI outsider to solve the most gruelling crimes.
Cassie’s ability also allows her to see and talk to the dead who are unable to find peace. And it seems to be more of a burden than a gift, as she’s constantly haunted by visions of violent crimes in the past and present.
It’s unsurprising that writer, Moira, also worked as co-producer on the similar NBC/CBS drama series Medium which saw Allison DuBois user her gift as a medium to help solve crimes.
Harriet has previously been nominated for a Logie and AACTA award for her role in Love Child.
