Grant served as host on the show for four years, before Network Ten announced they would be ‘resting’ the series last month.

The 2018 Gold Logie Award nominee took to Instagram overnight, to share his final day on-set with fans.

“Hardest thing I’ve ever done. Saying goodbye to this,” he writes. “Final records are now done. It saved my career.

“I’ve worked with the nicest people in my life. A massive crew who have worked harder than I ever had to make u laugh every night. They put the show before their families, friends & lives. I can’t repay that. But I want them to know I love them so much. I’ve had the absolute best time. Pure magic. You rarely get this chance to have this much fun and make an impact.

He finishes, “To the 5000 families who played with us… thank you. Tonight i raise a glass 🥂 never been so happy or thankful. A dream come true.”

The remaining episodes of Family Feud are due to air in the later half of 2018. Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait long for their favourite host to return to TV.

Grant has already scored a role hosting another show, in the same time-slot on Network Ten.

The 40-year-old star is set to host the Australian version of Game Of Games, a new show created and hosted be Ellen DeGeneres in the US.

“I’m hungry and excited about this new project,” Grant tells TV WEEK.

“Something new and bright comes along in moments when doors close,” he says.

“Ten has been a wonderful family to be part of. They want to continue making fun television.”

Ellen herself has shown her excitement for Grant’s new role.

“I’m thrilled it’s making its way to Australia,” Ellen, 60, enthuses.

“In the US [version], we drop contestants into vats of mashed potato,” Ellen explains. “But in Australia, it’s going to be 100 per cent Vegemite.”
