The Block had an overload of Bachie intruders this season – both 2015 Bachelor Sam Wood and last year’s Bachelorette winner Lee Elliott stopped by – and absolutely nobody was complaining.
For Melbourne plumber Lee, 36, the small stint on the renovation show, where he assisted Ronnie and Georgia with the installation of their kitchen, was taste enough to have him suggest maybe he and girlfriend Georgia Love could give the show a shot next season – yep, as full-blown contestants.

Sounds like a ratings winner to us!
However, long-time host Scotty Cam exclusively tells OK! that fans shouldn’t anticipate reality worlds colliding on his show in any way, besides a small cameo.
Asked if Georgia and Lee, or other former reality stars might make an appearance as Blockheads in the future, the frontman completely shut down the idea – bummer!
“I don’t think we’ll ever double up on reality people,” the 54-year-old confessed.
We guess Sam, 34, better hold off on submitting his application form, then!
The Melbourne-based fitness trainer, who took Elyse Knowles through her paces in an off-site workout earlier in the season, says his mate has been trying to convince him to go on the show for years.
“My best friend is desperate to go on it, he’s actually asked me to go on [with him],” Sam shares.
Although, the new dad admits he probably wouldn’t be the best man for the show.
“I’m really unhandy. I might be a total liability… but going on would be a great way to learn,” he laughs.
So, should we rule out seeing any famous faces on the show full stop?
It seems footballers – this season former NRL star Clint Amos appeared, while ex-AFL player Darren Jolly starred in the 2014 and 2015 series – get the green light, but stunner Elyse Knowles hasn’t exactly paved the way for models.
“The producers and I, we’re a bit old, and we didn’t see Elyse as a celebrity,” spills Scotty of the beauty, who has 761,000 Instagram followers.
“We saw her boyfriend as a good carpenter and she was a good designer. We saw that there was some oomph in them… that’s what we pick up on.”
Either way, the next season of The Block is set to be a sizzler, with St Kilda’s Gatwick Hotel being transformed into a four-story masterpiece in the scorching heat – work is expected to start in January.
“We are going to be filming in the middle of summer and it’s going to be a punish,” Scotty warns.
Can’t wait!
