A year after The Bachelorette Australia, Georgia Love chose Lee Elliott on the rooftop in Singapore, the pair are more in love than ever.
Yep, in this exclusive joint interview the lovebirds have opened up about everything from heartbreak to babies.
But the one question on everyone’s lips is why hasn’t Lee put a ring on it?
“I’ve already started saving for the ring,” Lee tells NW.
“The worst thing is we have so many weddings this year, and [all the brides have] ridiculous rocks as well, so I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh!’”
And, considering the pair are celebrating their one year anniversary on August 26th, now seems like the perfect time to pop the question.
Have you started making wedding plans yet?
Lee: We follow our own rules in that regard!
Georgia: We can’t afford a big enough wedding yet! [Laughs] We’ve been to so many weddings, so we’re getting ideas from everyone else’s.
But you’ve had a good think about the proposal – right, Lee?
Lee: I’m old-fashioned, I’ll want to do it privately.
Look at Tim [Robards] and Anna [Heinrich] – they were together for years and they’re the most incredible couple. They did it right. But I’ve been overwhelmed and humbled by how happy people have been for us. They want us to get married!
Will fellow Bachie boy Cam Cranley be invited to the wedding? Everyone’s still freaking out about that friendship!
Lee: Cam and I were definitely the closest in the house – he’s an old soul and I’m probably a young soul.
He’s like a man child. Yes, it’s strange, but…
Georgia: No, I don’t think it is!
If you go and ask everybody if they are friends with someone that they went on a date with once or kissed and decided there was nothing there, so many actually stay friends.
Lee: We just can’t shake him! [Laughs] He’s fun to have around – he’s an endless supply of amusement for us.
