Tyrion could be the Mad Queen’s worst nightmare based on GoT finale teasers

We were rooting for you, Daenerys!

We knew something wild must be coming to Game Of Thrones when the ultimate enemy of humans, the Night King (Vladimir Furdik), was defeated mid-way through the final season. To the surprise of many, the final enemy left to conquer is none other than Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).

HBO has released a chilling new teaser for the finale and, yikes Daenerys, it’s not looking good girl. Her trusted Queen’s Hand, Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), is thoroughly done with her after the carnage she created in Kings Landing.

In the penultimate episode ‘The Bells’, the honourable conqueror went rogue and decimated the kingdom by setting it alight with the only dragon she had left. This was despite antagonist Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) surrendering, and relinquishing her title as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms.

Kings Landing is now thoroughly burnt to a crisp, along with its thousands of civilians. Despite us rooting for her for eight long seasons, the Protector of the Seven Kingdoms, the Mother of Dragons and the Breaker of Chains has revealed herself to truly be the Mad Queen.

Looking towards the final episode, she has an army but barely a place to put her feet up and reap the rewards of her labour. And judging by the look on Tyrion’s face in the new teaser, a stern talking-to probably won’t cut it this time.

Meanwhile, Daenerys’ boyfriend Jon Snow (Kit Harington) was last seen hightailing it out of King Landing with his army, probably rehearsing his break-up speech. And technically as the rightful King of the Seven Kingdoms, we imagine he’s going to mention that she’s lost her mind, and maybe he should step in.

Across the Seven Kingdoms, we can’t imagine anyone being thrilled about their new Queen – least of all Jon’s sisters Sansa (Sophie Turner) and Arya (Maisie Williams). We suspects they’re going to do all they can to get big brother Jon on the Iron Throne (assuming it hasn’t been burnt too).

Game of Thrones MAJOR Season Eight finale airs Monday, 11am, on Foxtel.
