The highly anticipated Friends reunion has finally confirmed an air date!
It’s been a long wait for fans of the show who have been eagerly calling for a reboot/revival/reunion of any kind since the show called it a wrap in 2004.
Further dragging out the suspense, once a reunion was announced by HBO Max, it was then, much to our distress, delayed due to the pandemic.
But alas, here we are, finally with a confirmed premiere date of May 27.
Not only did get a date, we were treated to a teaser video, too.
The clip shows the original cast – Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer- walking arm in arm through what looks like a production lot before the words “The one where they get back together” flash across the screen.
Admittedly, it’s not a lot to go off, but we’ll take it.
The reunion will see the cast come together alongside show creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman for an unscripted special.
It’s the first time the six icons have reunited for a public event since the show’s final episode.
Produced for HBO Max, the American production company HBO’s streaming service, you’re probably wondering exactly how you can cast your peepers on it in Australia.
Streaming platform Binge has announced they have secured the rights to stream the reunion.
And, in an exciting win for Aussie fans, it will be coming to the site at the same time as the US and the rest of the world.
The TV event will air on May 27 at 5.02pm Australian time via Binge.
