Itโs been 18 years since we said goodbye to Fran Fine and the Sheffield family as The Nannyโs final episode aired. But the showโs creator and star Fran Drescher has teased that a revival could be on the cards.
โAs far as a reboot goes, I would be open to it if somebody wanted to do it โ but if nobody wants to do it, then Iโm currently trying to develop something else,โ the 60-year-old actress explained to Closer Weekly.
The good news is, she still talks to her castmates.
โI am in touch definitely,โ she said of former colleagues.

The hilarious sitcom was a smash hit back in the โ90s.
โRenรฉe Taylor (Sylvia Fine) is a good friend of mine, Charlie [Shaughnessy] (Maxwell Sheffield) is a good friend of mine. Recently I reconnected with Nicholle Tom (Maggie Sheffield), and periodically I speak to everyone, but Iโm very good friends with Charlie and Renรฉe, for sure,โ she said.
Fran might need to convince Charles to take part though. The actor shared his thoughts on a reboot earlier this year.
โThereโs been talk about a stage musical. Thereโs been talk about a revival series. Thereโs been talk about a one-off limited show, like a Gilmore Girls-type thing,โ he told Radar Online.

โOh Mr Sheffieellllddd!โ
โThe whole concept of The Nanny is a nanny to these three kids. When those three kids are all grown up, there is no need for a nanny,โ he continued.
โOther than getting a bunch of the same actors 20 years later and 20 years older together again, I donโt know how it would work.โ
Maybe heโs had a change of heart?
