The season finale of Five Bedrooms left viewers craving more last night. But, as fans flock to social media to ask when they can see new episodes, the show’s future remains up in the air.
The series boasts an all-star cast with Steve Peacocke, Kat Stewart, Doris Younane, Katie Robertson, Roy Joseph, Kate Jenkinson, Hugh Sheridan and Kumud Merani in lead roles.
Fans quickly grew to love the show, which follows a group of strangers who buy a house together after meeting at the singles table at a wedding.
Now that season one has ended – on a cliff-hanger at that – fans have been left wondering if they’ll be treated to more episodes.
“A wonderful, clever, witty & heartfelt show! Such a well written drama with endearing characters. Please renew the series for many more seasons,” wrote one TV WEEK reader.
“So shattered its over, I’ve loved every minute!!” said another.
While 10 is yet to confirm the series has been renewed, we caught up with Kat at the TV WEEK Logie Awards on Sunday where she revealed she was certainly keen to stay on the show.
When asked if she could get her Offspring co-star Asher Keddie to make an appearance in the second season, Kat said she would “love” to make it happen.
“Oh my God, that would be hilarious!” Kat, 46, tells TV WEEK. “I would love that so much. Maybe if we get a second series we might have to have a little chat, see what we can do.”
So what role could Asher play in Five Bedrooms?
“She can do anything she wants! She could name her role,” Kat reveals.
Kat wasn’t done, though, and shared her hopes of being renewed once more in an Instagram post on Wednesday night.
Calling the show “one of the most joyous experiences of my career” in her post, Kat wrote that the cast “plan on being back” if they can.
We certainly hope to see the gang on our screens again soon!
Five Bedrooms Season One is currently streaming on 10 Play.
