This is not a drill, First Dates is being revived after two years!
Next year we’ll be able to watch Australians flounder or flourish on First Dates, just like the good old days.
If you can’t wait that long and are looking for love, why not apply for a first-person POV on First Dates?
Based on the British show First Dates, we have followed Australian singles since 2016 as they leave dating apps behind and meet a potential partner in person.
Set in a Sydney restaurant, the front-of-house staff calm the single down as they wait to be matched with their first date.
The question on everyone’s lips, are they a good fit?
If you’re “genuinely looking for love” on a “blind date that could be the start of (your) own happily ever after” then you’re exactly what the producers are looking for.
First Dates Casting for Warner Bros Studios put on their website,
“Are you single?
Look no further!
Your reservation with fate awaits at the First Dates Restaurant.”
You have the choice of applying directly as a first date:
“No competition, no eliminations – just a blind date. Where it goes from there is up to you!”
In order to apply for First Dates, you must be over the age of 18, upload 2 x current photos of yourself (one full length and one headshot), and a video submission answering the question, what is the best or worst date you have ever been on?
Camera shy? Don’t worry you can apply to be a background dater. Where you can still look for love, minus the pressure.
Last season we saw a wide range of Australians looking for love, from a father and son double date to a couple who have already matched on Tinder and a man who finally found his perfect match after being single all his life.
The question on our mind is, will Tommy Little or Sam Mac narrate?
Mark your calendars for 2024 when First Dates season six arrives on Channel 7.
