Taking to Instagram Rebecca shared a snap of herself with Erik and Georgie, noting the catchup was long overdue.

“Finally caught up with this gorgeous woman after promising to do it for 6 years. Same age – same approach to life. Adore her to bits! ❤️❤️,” she captioned the happy snap.

“And to share it with the equally glorious @erik.thomson was just divine . Two beautiful humans @georgieparker and @erik.thomson . Love you both ❤️❤️”

Georgie and Erik reunited in 2018 for TV WEEK to mark the 20th anniversary of the show, where they discussed their character’s tumultuous love story.

Shortly after Mitch and Terri got engaged, they discovered Mitch had a brain tumour and was going to die.

The pair wed in a low-key ceremony in 2003 and Mitch died in the following episode. Fans were shattered.

“I get emotional thinking about it, because it was so powerful,” Erik says.

“I’m lying there [acting] dead, and Georgie is on me, crying. Her tears were falling on my face and I couldn’t flinch because I was [meant to be] dead. But it was so cathartic for both of us.”

Despite Erik’s character having been killed off, Georgie said she would be open to a revival.

“You could always do a couple of short tele-movies,” Georgie Parker told us at the 60th TV WEEK Logie Awards
