The Emmys’ red carpet proved to be a glittering success, especially with the abundance of celebrity couples highlighting that love still exists.

But as soon as the award ceremony kicked off, it became very clear the event was truly about our homegrown hero and gal of the moment Nicole Kidman and the the powerful women behind 2017’s smash hit Big Little Lies.

Unsurprisingly the gang, including Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern and Nic’s full-time cheerleader hubby Keith Urban, were the MPVs of the Emmys after parties.

HBO and Hulu held the biggest bashes helping Tinseltown party from dusk to dawn.

Fellow Big Little Lies stars Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern brought along very special dates to celebrate – their kids.

Laura won her first Emmy following her awe-inspiring portrayal of Renata Klein on HBO show.

During her heartfelt acceptance speech, Laura thanked her “amazing children, for their big, brave hearts.”

And the mum-of-two was stoked to have her 18-year-old son, Ellery Harper, and 12-year-old daughter, Jaya Harper, by her side at the after party.

As an executive producer on Saturday Night Live Ben’s girlfriend took home an Emmy for her show.

This is how you go public… Officially.

While we have all known Ben Affleck is dating SNL producer Lindsay Shookus for a few months now, the duo set their relationship in stone by attending the huge award ceremony as a couple.

The 45-year-old joined Lindsay as her plus one to the Hollywood affair, but the pair avoided the red carpet, posing for just one snap following the ceremony.

According to E! News, Ben made the entire event about his girl, by drinking water only, taking photos of her, holding her purse and cheering her on.

One onlooker overheard the winning producer tell her man she was craving pizza, so he whipped out his phone and started Googling places.

No need to hunt for good will, Ben’s got it!
