CONFIRMED: This Gossip Girl star is 100 per cent keen for a reboot

Although there’s one condition…
Gossip Girl reunion

Amid buzz Warner Bros is planning to bring everyone’s favourite Upper Eastsiders to the big screen for a Gossip Girl movie, the show’s resident playboy Chuck Bass – aka Ed Westwick – has just revealed he’s down for a reunion. But there’s a catch.

The British star told Radio Times he would only dust off his American accent for Chuck if he was offered the big bucks.

“I’ll do it then, hundred per cent,” he teased.

Sounds like someone better get their cheque books out, stat.

However, before you get too excited, Ed says it’s highly unlikely a reunion will happen anytime soon.

“I know there’s a bunch of [TV series] coming back – I hear they’re doing Will and Grace, they’ve done Gilmore Girls,” he says. “But it’s such a strange thing to think about. It feels like we only just finished!”

Meanwhile the actor, who also starred in the 2016 thriller Billionaire Ransom, says he’s more interested in expanding his career outside the show before he revisits it.

“I haven’t done enough in-between yet to feel like I could comfortably revisit it,” he adds. “And I did so much with that character – it’s played out, man. It’s done.”

Although perhaps Ed will change his mind when he hears some of his former co-star are also itching for a reunion.

“Leighton Meester is apparently on board, and Sebastian Stan has said that he, Chace Crawford and Jessica Szohr are all hoping that it’ll happen,” a source tells US OK.

There’s still no word if Lonely Boy, Dam Humphrey aka Penn Badgley, is on board but Blake Lively is even keen to bring Serena van der Woodsen back to life.

“I don’t know. Why not?” she told Variety recently about a possible reboot.

Keep your phones close by, you might be hearing from Gossip Girl sooner than you think.

XOXO.
