The controversial fourth season of Married at First Sight has reached explosive heights, both on and off the screen, and OK! can reveal the truth behind much of the drama is not quite as it appears.

One of the most eyebrow-raising scandals to emerge from the show, so far, is undoubtedly the alleged car chase between Scarlett, 28, and production, which ended abruptly when she slammed into a police car. “Some people just attract it, don’t they?” says fellow bride Nadia, 36, of the incident.
Channel Nine has released a statement explaining that Scarlett was being followed “to ensure her safety”, and had denied claims the “aspiring author” was held against her wishes, a situation the cast would never find themselves in, according to Alene, 31. “In our contract, it actually says we can terminate if we no longer want to be part of the show,” she explains.

It appears leaving the series couldn’t happen quick enough for Scarlett, who exited the show after her match with stripper Michael turned sour – but not before being involved in a texting scandal with castmate Jonathan, 29!
Scarlett assures OK! that the texts were harmless, and there wasn’t any “cheating” involved. “Jonathan and I are just friends, I was never attracted to him,” she insists.
However, as viewers know, wife-swapping is a real possibility on this show, as Jonathan’s wife Cheryl has made a surprise return with jilted groom Andrew ‘Jonesy’ J, 38, and all appears to be heading in the right direction – or is it?
The firefighter tells OK! that Chez is in fact “definitely not” his type. “We have different values and ideals… She’s, I guess, at that stage where it’s a big issue to spend a lot of time with your appearance,” he reveals.
Cheryl has returned to the dating experiment show with jilted groom Andrew ‘Jonesy’ J.
The second-chancers reportedly had an epic falling out during Cheryl’s hometown date, where Andrew was escorted out of a bar after “chucking ice” at the 25-year-old and her friends.
It’s a shocking tale that sounds all too similar to the altercation said to have occurred on Andrew’s wedding night, where an alcohol-fuelled dispute caused Lauren to become the program’s first runaway bride.

While insiders reveal another wife could soon check out of the experiment, all eyes are on Nadia after her hubby Anthony, 33, unveiled his “aggressive” side at a group dinner, where some cast members claim he “bullied” Cheryl. “To have a man be quite old-school with his mentality and the way he treats women was quite confronting for me,” Nadia shares.
Meanwhile, newlyweds Nick, 29, and Sharon, 31, are also tackling some tough times as the truth about his past fondness for drinking and strip joints has emerged. But while Sharon’s twin sister Michelle should be focusing on her issues with hubby Jesse, 31, she is seemingly caught up in Sharon’s marriage and is said to have become a “third wheel” in her sister’s relationship.
