Clare Tamas has shockingly hit out at her ex-TV husband, Lachlan McAleer, suggesting his on-screen persona was just a show for the cameras.
‘He turned it on when the cameras were on us, then was either cold or rude or distant,’ explains the 37-year-old, perhaps explaining the pair’s frequent on-screen arguments.
The reality television star says she fell in love with Lachlan’s rugged ‘nice guy’ persona but she soon realised that he became more distant and self-obsessed as the series progressed.
Clare’s admission comes almost two months after Lachlan was announced as a contender for the upcoming season of Channel Nine’s Farmer Wants a Wife series.
Clearly upset about the situation, Clare reveals she was shocked by how quickly her ‘ex-husband’ moved on.
‘He told me that I was his dream girl and he’d never had a connection like that before, and yet quickly departed after the last cameras, with no word. Interesting timing isn’t it?’
Lachlan previously starred in the 2010 season of MasterChef, suggesting that Clare’s claims of the farmer’s search for stardom hold some fragment of truth.
