Just one day after the news of a new Paul-Hogan-approved Crocodile Dundee film, the movie gods have blessed us with a new trailer – and it stars none other than Chris Hemsworth.

While the movie announcement seemingly came out of nowhere, we’re praying twice as hard it’s real because of the Hemsworth factor.

The film, titled DUNDEE: The Son Of A Legend Returns Home, has many people questioning whether it’s part of an elaborate joke or a larger campaign as there’s been no previous information about it until now. And despite there being little info on the actual film, it has its own pretty legit website and hashtag, #DundeeMovie.

According to the website, the story revolves around Michael J. ‘Crocodile’ Dundee’s son who turns up in the Aussie outback to search for his missing father.

“Crocodile Dundee is back. Well, actually, he’s missing in the Outback. And the only person who might be able to find him is the loudmouthed American son no one knew he had,” the website reads.

“This son of a legend is forced to channel his Aussie roots as he teams up with a local expert, Wally Jr. Together, they’ll embark on the ultimate adventure in the land down under.”

Danny McBride plays said loudmouth American son Brian Dundee, which is an almost guarantee for a hilarious film, who teams up with Chris’ character, Wally Jr. Wally Jr. is an “expert outdoorsman” who will “have his hands full keeping his new American friend out of trouble.”

The comedy is currently listed on IMDB with a release date of June 1 for Los Angeles and is being produced by Rimfire Films, the same company responsible for the first two Crocodile Dundee films in the 80s.

Both Crocodile Dundee (1986) and Crocodile Dundee II (1988) were hits worldwide grossing $328 million and $239 million USD respectively. The third instalment, Crocodile Dundee In Los Angeles (2001), centred on Dundee living completely out of his element in LA with his young son and it failed to meet the success of its predecessors.

If you’re still unconvinced, the original Crocodile Dundee himself, Paul Hogan, recently spoke to PEOPLE about the potential film. “Throughout the past few years, I’ve been thinking about how to bring Dundee to a new generation. I’m excited to introduce the new Crocodile Dundee to the world and look forward to sharing more news about those involved very soon,” he said.

Real or not, we’re undoubtedly enjoying the trailers, the speculation and most importantly Chris Hemsworth in khakis.
