Well, this is exciting! Celebrity stylist and television personality, Carson Kressley, is about to shake things up in camp.
The 47-year-old, who rose to fame as one of the “Fab Five” on Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, admits he can’t wait to make his mark on the reality show.
“I’m already pretty camp,” he joked. Before musing: “It’s a great opportunity – it’s the adventure of a lifetime. Who gets to live in the jungle and do these amazing things, and raise money for a charity?”
“Aren’t there some hotties there, that will maybe have their shirts off? If so, it sounds like there will be plenty to do there,” he adds.
Carson will be raising money for the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute and already has a wish-list of who he wants to be stuck in the jungle with.
“Bindi Irwin, she’s Australian and she knows all about dangerous animals, she’d be helpful. Someone really hot like Ryan Gosling, because I’m sure we’d just become besties. And maybe a really good doctor.”
As for what he’ll bring to the team, he vouches not to ruffle too many feathers.
“I think I’ll get along [with everyone] really well. I’m pretty easy-going and tend to like people, so will keep it light and friendly and fun. I think I’ll be OK.”
Carson is keen to throw people’s pre-conceived perceptions about him out the window.
“I think people things I’m this New York City fashionista and that I can’t live without the finer things in life, but I think that I’m pretty sufficient and that I can be pretty tough and rugged when I need to be.”
“I’m really trying to keep the mindset that people have to live with a lot worse and I just have to do this for a minute or two. In the big picture I’m a very bless person and I’m very lucky.”
“There are people who have real hardships they need to deal with, and if you keep that in mind, it puts it all into perspective and you can kind of do anything.”
He will be dropped into the jungle on Monday night’s episode.
God speed, Carson!
