Can First Dates heal this vintage lover’s shattered heart?

Rockabilly queen seeks rockabilly king.

On the inside she was a bundle of nerves going in to her First Dates experience.

“I went through a pretty traumatic break up nearly two years ago now so I’m a bit gun shy,” the art gallery owner from Adelaide admits to TV WEEK.

“I was not really wanting to get back out there and open my heart up to somebody and then get it broken.”

Having made a conscious choice to stay single, the tattooed lover of classic cars and dancing says she’s decided her life is great – and it’s so great that she wants to share it with a like-minded partner. And so she took a chance that she’d find it on the reality TV show.

It may not be easy as Alison says the number one must for her is that her blind date needs to share her passion for the rockabilly lifestyle in order to be her ideal guy.

“It is not just hobbies or interests for me it is my absolute lifestyle,” she says. “Someone who is passionate about the music, I think it is probably the main thing. Definitely interested in cars and bikes of the era. Someone who is a bit edgy and alternative. Tattooed, that kind of thing.”

Can she find an inked other half over the dinner table?

Last week on First Dates, when we left them, Murphy and Sam were riding off into the sunset with their blind dates – Murphy with William and Sam with Alison.
