It’s the question McLeod’s Daughters fans have been asking for years, and actress Bridie Carter was more than ready to answer it at the 61st TV WEEK Logie Awards on Sunday.

The much-loved Aussie drama almost had a reunion back in 2017 though the return was scrapped, with creator Posie Graeme-Evans confirming “creative differences” had cut short plans to revive the show.

Bridie, who starred as Tess McLeod for six seasons, says she gets asked about a possible revival “all the time” and reveals fans were asking her about it on the TV WEEK Logies red carpet.

“I’ll tell you this, the shoes I have on tonight are Sergio Rossi and I wore them to our first McLeod’s Logies in 2002,” Bridie, 48, tells TV WEEK.

“So that is a testament for how long this show… it’s still going! People out [on the red carpet] are still talking about it.”

So, what does Bridie have to say to her adoring fans, asking for a reboot of the hit show?

“What I say to everybody is, I am like Tess McLeod and I will never give up.”

Bridie’s former co-stars Myles Pollard and Aaron Jeffery, who starred as brothers Nick and Alex Ryan in the series, previously told TV WEEK they would also be up for a reunion.

“I’m totally up for anything to do with that,” Aaron revealed last year, though his character did die in the original series. “We’ve got to keep trying.

“The fans on that show are the reason that we’re even having this conversation,” the 47-year-old actor added. “Anything we can do to pay them back for the love they’ve shown us.”

“That could be really exciting,” adds Myles.
