When does Bridgerton season three premiere?

The third season of Netflix’s hit series, Bridgerton will be released in two parts, both featuring four episodes each.

Part one was released on May 16, 2024, and part two premieres nearly a month later on June 13, 2024.

Which book is Bridgerton Season three based on?

The third season follows the friends-to-lovers plot of Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington as written in the fourth book, Romancing Mister Bridgerton by author Julia Quinn.

Netflix has largely followed the plot and themes of the novels. However some minor changes have been shifted to suit television.

What is the plot of Bridgerton season three?

To conclude season two, the perfect enemies-to-lovers trope with Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma came to a blissful end with the pair finally admitted their love and getting married. Penelope Featherington and Eloise Bridgerton had a friendship falling out when Eloise found out that her best friend was Lady Whistledown. Meanwhile, Penelope was left heartbroken when she overheard Colin Bridgerton saying that he would never court her.

But was he telling the truth? No, he wasn’t because season three follows the friends-to-lovers storyline between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).

In the beginning, Penelope had given up on her affection towards Colin and makes it her mission to find a husband to live away from her mother and sisters. But as a woman in her third season, it proves to be a difficult task when Colin offers his guidance.

While trying to help his friend, Colin discovers feelings of jealousy – cue pining! Not to spoil part one, but it ends in a steamy encounter. But Colin and Penelope’s love story is not set in stone yet, as Eloise know of her ex-friends secret identity and isn’t afraid to expose her…

Who has been cast in Bridgerton?

Majority of the original cast will be reprising their roles for season three, however, some actors will also sadly be departing the show.

The role of Francesca Bridgerton was also recast, with Ruby Stokes departing and replaced with Hannah Dodd.

Does Daphne Bridgerton star in the new season?

Unfortunately, season one star Pheobe Dynevor will not be reprising her role as Daphne Bridgerton in the third season. The character did make irregular appearances in the second season as her brother Anthony battled his affections for Kate.

What are the episode titles for Bridgerton season three?

In mid-February, the cast gathered to attend its season three premiere in which Netflix gave Bridgerton fanatics a teaser in what to expect for the upcoming season.

The first four episodes are titled “Out of the Shadows,” “How Bright the Moon,” Forces of Nature” and “Old Friends.”

As for the final four episodes which will feature in part two, the titles are (in order) “Tick Tock,” “Romancing Mister Bridgerton,” “Joining of Hands,” and “Into the Light.”

When did season three start filming?

In July 2022, Nicola Coughlan revealed via Instagram that Bridgerton season three had officially started filming. She captioned her post “Get ready for the (carriage) ride of your lives, filming for #Bridgerton Season Three has begun!”.

Where can you watch Bridgerton?

Upon it is released, season three will be available to stream on Netflix. However, Bridgerton fanatics can get their fix by watching season one and two, currently available on the streaming platform.
