From 1994-2006, it seemed all Australians were watching Blue Heelers.
If there was trouble in town, Sgt Tom Croydon (John Wood) and the officers at Mount Thomas Police were on the case – and they always got their man.
From love affairs and heartache to gut-wrenching tragedies, the much-loved Aussie drama had it all.
Perhaps one of the show’s most memorable moments was when Lisa McCune’s character, costable Maggie Doyle, died.
Devoted fans of the drama were understandably devastated when the much-loved Maggie was shot and killed.
“I felt I didn’t want her [Maggie] to die,” Lisa explained to TV WEEK of her emotional final episode. “Many years later, I can understand why they did it [killed off her character]. But at the time, I was sad to see her go, because she was a gorgeous young girl.
“She represented a hope, I guess. And she ticked all the boxes in the right way, in that she was feisty, came from an Irish-Catholic background, with a strong father. I loved those qualities about her – we all love those qualities in characters on television,” the actress explained.
As for whether the cast will ever reunite for a TV comeback, Ditch Davey, who played Evan Jones for six seasons, has previously said he’s keen.
“I wouldn’t say no to anything. I absolutely loved doing that show,” previously told New Idea.
“I get messages most weeks from fans of the show who still want to ask questions about it.”
“People have such fondness for Blue Heelers that I wouldn’t put it off the table. If all the cards fell in the right way – I think it would certainly need a big reboot – but I wouldn’t put it off the table,” he explained.

Maggie and P.J’s love affair:
These two went from colleagues to a couple when they finally expressed their feelings for each other whilst trapped down a mine. The couple sadly never made it down the aisle.
Maggie was killed during their engagement and while P.J. tried his best to move on, even getting engaged for a second time, he remained haunted by the memory of Maggie.
Maggie death:
Maggie’s (Lisa McCune) death in 2000 was one of the most watched moments in Australian television history.

The bombing:
In 2004, viewers said goodbye to Senior Constable Jo Parrish (Jane Allsop) when she was killed in the Mount Thomas police station bombing.

Susie and Jonesy’s Engagement:
Even though we wanted Susie (Simone McAullay) and Jonesy (Ditch Davey) to have their happy ending, their relationship was doomed from the start. After being rejected by Tess (Caroline Craig), Jonesy was hesitant to get together with Susie.
In the meantime, Susie had brief flings with Ben (Paul Bishop) and Alex (Charlie Clausen). Eventually, Jonesy found out about Susie and his best mate Alex, causing him to call off the engagement.
Tess and Josney’s First Kiss:
The finale of the ninth season was nothing short of steamy when Tess (Caroline Craig) and Jonesy (Ditch Davey) shared their first kiss.
When Jonesy got stabbed:
Jonesy threw himself in front of Tess to prevent her from being stabbed by a knife-wielding teenager. Despite his heroic efforts, Jonesy didn’t win her heart. It did, however, make for some edge-of-your-seat television.
Amy’s Secret:
Amy’s (Rachel Gordon) secret heartache shocked the nation when it was revealed that she was repeatedly abused by her uncle. In season 12 Amy got the closure she needed when her uncle was arrested.
Alex’s surprise son:
