Australia’s favourite siblings Bindi and Robert Irwin are about to hit our screens again!
The wildlife conservationists announced on Tuesday that they will star as celebrity guest judges in the new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under.
“How could we not be involved in a show as fun and iconic as RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under?!” Bindi, 24, and Robert, 18, said in a statement from Stan.
“We’re big fans and were chuffed to help kick off the new season, especially after Art Simone’s hilarious Snatch Game impersonation last year! We can’t wait to see how all our Down Under kanga-rus go this season.”
The Irwins will join permanent judges RuPaul, Michelle Visage and Aussie comedian Rhys Nicholson on the judging panel for the premiere episode.
“I absolutely loved being part of the new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under and can’t believe I got to sit beside RuPaul, Michelle and Rhys,” she said.
Xena: Warrior Princess star Lucy Lawless will appear on the judging panel for the show’s second episode.
The new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under is the Irwins’ second TV gig so far this year.
In March, Robert, Bindi and their mother Terri appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox – where they were praised by fans for their hilarious commentary.
Robert gained even more admirers for his appearance on the one-off episode, where he danced along to Dancing With The Stars and called Married At First Sight a “train wreck.”
Viewers took to social media to call for Robert to have more gigs on television.
“Why aren’t we seeing more of Robert Irwin on TV?” one social media user wrote, while another said: “Robert please give me a chance”.
“He has turned into such a beautiful young man,” someone else remarked, followed by a fourth who commented, “Robert you are hilarious! Love your commentary!”
