But you’d be forgiven for not recognising Nina Rolleston today. The Brisbane beauty has lost a staggering 12 kilos and says she couldn’t be happier.

“It wasn’t a conscious decision to lose weight,” Nina, 30, tells TV WEEK.

“Basically, I was terrified about turning 30. But once I did [become slimmer], everything changed.

“My career blossomed, my friendships went from strength to strength, and I just started loving myself more.”

She was always sporty, but Nina says she’s since started doing Pilates and climbing mountains just for fun.

“I’ve become more active and I love it,” she says.

Of deciding to go on Bachelor In Paradise, Nina says she felt ready to look for love again.

“I’ve only been in one short-term relationship since The Bachelor,” Nina says. “And I was more comfortable going into this, because I knew how things worked a little bit more.”

However, Bachelor In Paradise doesn’t see the contestants sailing smoothly towards love, and Nina isn’t an exception.

“You are never going to get along with everybody,” she says.

“[But] I think as long as there are people who are positive and encouraging, then I’m happy to spend my time in paradise with anybody.”

That person for Nina so far is breakdancing, gold chain-wearing Eden Schwencke from Sophie Monk’s season of The Bachelorette.

She chose to save the 34-year-old in the first rose ceremony of the show, but admits, “they are all attractive men.”

“They all have great outgoing personalities,” she adds. “I’m looking forward to…getting to know them myself.”
