But where most people would break down, the Bachelor In Paradise star remains defiant – and now Woman’s Day can reveal a traumatic experience had a part to play in what critics have slammed as her “obsession” with going under the knife.

Opening up about her decision to undergo nose surgery in 2016, the 31-year-old reveals she was the victim of a vicious attack
in her 20s.

“I’ve never spoken about this before but when I was 23, a mate of my boyfriend’s grabbed my nose so viciously and twisted it that it actually bent the cartilage,” Keira told us.

Keira has undergone quite a few changes.

While the blonde says she didn’t press charges, she insists the assault had a lasting effect on her – physically and mentally.

“After that, a girl said to me my nose went a little to the side. So
I decided to get a nose job.”

Keira says going on The Bachelor played a role in her decision to have work done, too.

“I was confident with who I was before the show. I looked in the mirror and thought, ‘OK, I’m not happy with that’, but never to the point I thought I needed to change it. But when you’re in the spotlight, you see paparazzi photos [of yourself] and have no control… So if I can change my appearance it gives me back some… control.”

That said, Keira – who is rumoured to find love with Jarrod on the show – insists she isn’t, and never will be, the sort of person who will succumb
to the trolls.

“I’m very lucky I’m strong-minded and resilient,” she remarked.

“If I wasn’t, who knows what could’ve happened by now”.
