During a quiet moment on her June wedding day in Puglia, Italy, Anna Heinrich sat down, took a deep breath and reflected on her life with soon-to-be husband Tim Robards.

“I was sitting in my gown and suddenly realised, ‘Wow, this is all real – I’m about to get married!'” Anna, 31, recalls of her special day.

“The journey [to this point] has been crazy and we’ve done every bit of it as a team.”

Of course, their love story is unlike most. The pair met just over five years ago.

Network Ten had just started filming the first-ever season of The Bachelor Australia and Tim was hopeful about finding true love.

And somewhat unexpectedly, he did – and fast.

In a matter of weeks, Anna and Tim had fallen in love on national TV.

Today, the couple are happily married and capturing the hearts of Australia all over again.

But as the wedding dress gets packed away and the honeymoon is all but over, what’s next for the newlyweds?

“We definitely want kids,” Anna reveals. “It’s just about timing. It’s important to us and it will be in the near future. But it could be one year or more [away], we’re not sure exactly when.”

In the meantime, as we eagerly await a baby announcement, the couple are busy forging their careers.

Alongside managing his personal training business, Tim, 35, is currently flexing his acting chops on the set of Neighbours.

“He’s doing so well!” Anna says proudly.

The chiropractor was thrilled to score a guest role in the soap playing a wealthy investor named Pierce Greyson.

The criminal lawyer and brand ambassador is set to appear in a new series, Trial By Kyle, starring radio presenter Kyle Sandilands.

The comedy show is airing as part of Pilot Week on Network Ten.

It will feature the shock jock presiding over his own courtroom, in which real-life cases featuring celebrities and members of the public will be judged and ruled upon.

Anna will offer legal advice and analyse the evidence presented to the court.

“It’s like Judge Judy with a twist,” she explains. “I’ve loved doing it and working with Kyle. He is so great at what he does. He doesn’t sit on the fence, so he brings a no-nonsense attitude to it all.”

While Kyle has never shied away from speaking his opinion, Anna insists there’s more to the celebrity than meets the eye.

“He has a lot of different sides and he’s very real in his approach and sees things as they are,” she says. “But he is also compassionate and a really great guy.”

This isn’t the first time Anna has returned to TV since The Bachelor.

She also appeared on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in 2015.

Anna says walking through the corridors at Network Ten is a touching reminder of when she first met Tim.

“We’re back where it all began,” she enthuses.

“The best thing about the journey from The Bachelor to now is having Tim there with me. We haven’t jumped into anything too quickly and we’ve evolved.”

“The Bachelor is where we met and we’re married now, so we appreciate it all. At the same time, we’re moving on and forging our life together. We’re more of a team now, but in a way, we always were.”
