US singer Adam Lambert has just been announced as the third and final judge on The X Factor Australia this year
Adam joins already announced judges Iggy Azalea and Guy Sebastian in what has been labelled a massive format shakeup.
Producers decided they wanted to downsize the program for its eighth season.
The restructure means that fewer singers will get through the rounds and the competition will be tight.
“I’m very excited to join X Factor in Australia and am looking forward to helping people shine their brightest,” Adam said.
“Australia has always been one of my favourite places to tour,” the 34-year-old singer confessed.
And that’s not all… he loves Aussies too!
“The Aussies I’ve met are so kind and good humoured, so the thought of getting to live in Sydney is very exciting.”
Like fellow judge guy, Adam Lambert also got his start in the Idol franchise, with the singer crowned runner up in the US version.
He also joined iconic rock legends Queen for a recent tour as their lead singer.

The three-judge format of the revamped X Factor isn’t going to be the only change.
Other changes including reducing the number of live shows, and having three contestant catagories instead of four.
It’s also said that producers might be on the hunt for a replacement host for Luke Jacobz after he controversially lost his licence for drink driving before the series aired last year.
