A whole new season of laughs and tasks are coming to the screen at the end of May with Taskmaster Australia season two.
Returning to host the new season is “tough-love” Taskmaster Tom Gleeson and his “loyal sidekick” Tom Cashman.

The 2024 season will see five new comedians step up to the Taskmaster challenge all in the hopes of winning the ultimate prize – “the golden version of Tom Gleeson’s delectable noggin.”
“Each week viewers will witness these best and brightest comics go head-to-head in a string of ridiculous, rambunctious and bewildering tasks to bag the highest points, all for our amusement,” the announcement from Ten read.
“From building scarecrows, to catching hot chips and fielding a lesson with lemons, will they have the prowess to win over our supreme Taskmaster?”

Season two’s cast includes Anne Edmonds, Jenny Tian, Josh Thomas, Lloyd Langford and Wil Anderson.
This cast list however is a switch up from its original as Ten announced in July 2023 that the second season would include Peter Helliar, Mel Buttle, Aaron Chen, Concetta Caristo and Rhys Nicholson.
However, Tom Cashman did tease a surprise twist in a post made to Instagram.
“PLUS there’s another season airing straight after this one. Lots of Taskmaster AU happening,” he captioned the announcement.
Taskmaster Australia aired its first season in 2023 with the comedians Danielle Walker who was crowned the winner, Jimmy Rees, Julia Morris, Luke McGregor and Nina Oyama.
Despite being its first rendition on Australian shores, Taskmaster was a huge success. It was nominated for a TV Week Logie Award in 2023 and was a 2024 AACTA Award nominee.
The second season of Taskmaster Australia 2024 airs Thursday May 23, 2024 on Ten and 10Play.
