Are you ready to dust off your dancing shoes and touch up your fake tan?
A brand new season of Dancing With The Stars is about to start, which means we’re about to have an onslaught of fabulously OTT sequinned outfits, some catty judging commentary and hopefully a contestant-dancer pairing that results in a onscreen romance!
The new season premieres on Channel 10 on Sunday February 9 with a sizzling cast, starring former Bachelorette Angie Kent, actress Claudia Karvan, radio and TV funnyman Ed Kavalee (yep, he’s also Mr Tiffiny Hall), comedian Celia Pacquola, Olivia Newton-John’s daughter Chloe Lattanzi, former MAFS groom Dean Wells, former AFL star Travis Cloke, singer Dami Im, Richard Wilkins’ son Christian and e-NRL star turned TV host, Beau Ryan.
The show’s fabulous hosts Amanda Keller and Grant Denyer are also returning for another season.
DWTS is famous for is glam dancefloor set and live audience, but where exactly is this fantastic show filmed?
The weekly live show is filmed in Melbourne, in Docklands.
So that means, contestants who aren’t based in the Victorian capital must travel interstate every week to perform.
“Stars are based wherever they live and train there, then travel each week to the live shows,” a Channel 10 spokeswoman confirmed to TV WEEK.
Angie Kent, Beau Ryan, Christian Wilkins, Dean Wells and Claudia Karvan all live in Sydney, while Dami Im lives in Brisbane, so these celebs will have to trek it to Melbourne every Sunday for the next few weeks.
