Australia, we have been Matty J’d. Again.
In tonight’s heartbreaking finale of The Bachelorette Australia, Ali Oetjen said goodbye to her knight in shining armour, Todd King. Don’t mind us, we’re just over here sobbing uncontrollably.
Sweet precious angel Todd was not only in love with Ali, but he was also willing to sacrifice his own career and plans for the future to give her the family she wanted, in the time frame she said she wanted.
“The one thing I can give you, guaranteed, is that I’m always going to sacrifice for you,” he told Ali.
Todd also showed up to the final rose ceremony with a big sparkling ring.

“I’ve learnt what I want in a partner and that’s Ali. I can see her as my life partner and the mother of my children. The man that stands before you now is head over heels in love,” he told host Osher Gunsberg, before going to greet Ali for the last time.

But, it seems their love wasn’t meant to be. After saying goodbye to Ali, a crushed Todd was seen doubled over, crying.
“It hurts more than I could ever describe and I just wish I could have given her that missing link… but someone else has. She’s finally found happiness,” Todd told the cameras.

Admittedly, winner Taite Radley and Ali seem sweet together. But that hasn’t stopped heartbroken fans from expressing their disappointment on social media.

But, along with those emotional fans are the ones calling for Todd to be cast in the next season of The Bachelor Australia.
And, seeing as Todd has been edited in a similar way to our beloved Matty J, we can’t say we’re all that surprised.
Todd for bachelor. Todd for king of the universe. Todd for everything. #BacheloretteAU
