When the COVID-19 crisis hit, The Voice Australia was one of the productions that was forced to stopped filming.
But despite the disruption, the reality show is forging ahead as planned – for now.
The Nine Network has announced the singing competition will return sooner than you may think, with new episodes dropping May 24th.
Production had kicked off on the show and had just wrapped the “Battles” stage before it was forced to temporarily pull the plug.
“Filming of The Voice has been temporarily postponed in the wake of the coronavirus and new government protocols,” Nine spokesperson told Now To Love at the time.
“The show is still currently on track to begin airing in its originally planned time frame, which will be announced in the coming months.”
All four coaches, Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian, Boy George and Kelly Rowland are returning, joined by new hosts Darren McMullen and Renee Bargh.

Darren previously hosted the show before Sonia Kruger came on board before jumping ship to Channel Seven.
“I’ve hosted a lot of fun shows around the globe since leaving but nothing compares to the buzz you get from walking out onto The Voice stage”, said Darren.
“The seasons that I hosted were the most fun I’ve ever had in television, and I can’t wait to pick up the reigns again to front the biggest show in Australia.”
Meanwhile, Renee is thrilled to take on the task for the first time.
“It’s an absolute dream come true to be heading home to Australia and joining The Voice family”, Renee said.
“When it comes to entertainment television, it doesn’t get much bigger or more dynamic than The Voice. I’ve always been a huge fan of the show and am looking forward to meeting the next wave of incredibly talented Aussie artists”.
