The Block judge and celebrity interior designer Shaynna Blaze has taken to social media to announce her split from her second husband of 18 years, personal trainer Steve Vaughan.

The couple shared a home together in Melbourne, where they lived with Shaynna’s two children from her first marriage, Jesse and Carly.

“Sometimes in life, our paths change directions and now this is one of those times for me with Steve and I separating,” The Block judge said in an Instagram post.

“I will not be making any further statements about this and whilst I appreciate your support I ask that you respect our right to privacy. Thank you, Shaynna.”

Shaynna has been married to Steve for 18 years.

In April of this year, Shaynna, 55, spoke to TV Week about a “distressing” move from the couple’s family home.

“I thought it wouldn’t get to me,” Shaynna, 55, admits. “I help people make the transition every day, so I figured it would be easy.”

“But when we were packing everything up, it became very personal and I realised how much stuff I’d accumulated.”

Shaynna Steve settled in Hawthorn – an inner suburb in Melbourne’s east – following a well-trodden path for baby boomers.

“The kids moved out, we needed to downsize and where we ended up was determined by what we could afford,” Shaynna explained to TV Week.

Hawthorn also happens to be where Steve’s gym is, and Shaynna revealed he wasted no time in roping his wife into attending every fitness class.

It’s safe to say Shaynna is rarely not busy, and with both Selling Houses Australia and The Block on the air, it was always going to be a big year for the mum of 2.

“It sounds clichéd, but I’m so lucky, because I love both shows,” she enthused in April.

“On Selling Houses, I’m part of the process. I love working with things from the ground up, so I find that quite easy. Whereas with The Block, I’m standing back and looking at the work.

“It’s the best of both worlds!”
