The Block fans have started a GoFundMe for contestants Sarah-Jane and Tom following their devastating profit on auction night.

Despite being warned the economic conditions for selling a house was not desirable, no one expected the fan favourites to win a mere $20,000.99 which is the lowest earning since 2014 with $10,000.

“Tom and SJ deserve a lot more for the efforts they put into building their house on The Block,” the description read.

“Their positive attitude and willingness to call it as it was made them an instant show favourite.

“Let’s show them what the Aussie spirit can do and help raise funds to make a difference, set their family up and make the 12 weeks worthwhile.”

The fundraiser’s goal is to raise $1,586,670 but it is questionable as to whether the profits would reach The Block couple after Sarah-Jane took to her personal Instagram to warn fans it was a scam and the network was working to shut it down.

“Hey guys… We just found out that someone has set up a GoFundMe page for us,” she said. “That is not Tom and I.

“It’s a scam, Channel Nine are trying to work on getting it taken down. It is definitely not us, do not be sucked in.”

“It’s to help people that are in really s—-y situations and that’s just not Tom and I.

“We’re in a good situation,” she said. “So, not us. Spread the word!”

The GoFundMe came at a strategic time after Sarah-Jane and Tom admitted they would have to sell their new $80,000 Ford Ranger – which they had won – after spending “more than $20,000 of our savings” to feature on the renovation show.

However, Sarah-Jane confessed on her Instagram stories that they remain “grateful” for what they have.

“We honestly had the best time and have zero regrets,” she previously said.

“That was a hard moment but life’s thrown harder things our way and 20k is 20k more then what we had yesterday but definitely less then if we had of just stayed at home and worked.”
