Tired of the mounting backlash against them by fans, The Block’s Omar and Oz have fled the country for some much-needed R&R.
The Sydney-based best mates quietly snuck out of the country last week, with a well-placed insider confirming to Woman’s Day they “have flown to Bali for two weeks for a holiday”, but will return in time for the auction.
Omar and Oz, both 30, have been at the centre of several controversies ever since the show began airing in late August, resulting in fans and fellow Blockheads cruelly labelling them “cheaters” and “dodgy dealers”.
Sadly, passengers on the same flight as the boys overheard them saying they wanted to escape as they “were getting hammered on the show” and that it was “only going to get worse for them”, as reported on the So Dramatic! podcast.

The pair have yet to post on their Block social media account about their trip, however Oz uploaded a picture on his personal Instagram account of a plane along with the word “Ciao”.
Interestingly, the friends’ Balinese getaway comes as the duo are questioned over their attempt to barter with their tradesmen.
The incident, which is to play out on The Block this Sunday, sees the boys offer their tradies trips to Bali in exchange for payment, as all of the Blockheads continue to struggle with their budget towards the end of their builds.
It comes after The Block contestants called for a financial audit when Omar and Oz bought a $36,000 baby grand piano for just $7500 – which is against show rules.
There has only been more controversy following a shock explosive budget spreadsheet was released which revealed Oz and Omar have spent more than $52,000 over their budget. However, Sharon and Ankur were roughly $81,000 over budget.
The pair have also been accused of using friends and family to get free labour on site.
It is not known whether any of their trades joined Omar and Oz on their recent tropical getaway.
