The Block is full of quite a few teams with little to no renovation experience but that shouldn’t mean that they get any special treatment compared to the other couples.
Keith is completely over it as many teams have started coming to him for advice before they’ve done the handy work.
Keith Schleiger and Dan Reilly are the two foremen for the show, their job is to inspect the builders’ handiwork and give it the sign-off that it has been done properly.
Instead, the teams are relying on Dan and Keith every step of the way instead of just the finished product.
Team Leah and Ash especially pushed Keith’s buttons by asking for his opinion on how they were progressing and if they liked their floor transition between rooms…
ask him every step of the way,'” Leah explained.
“That’s got nothing to do with structure. What’s happening at the moment, is Dan and myself are putting every piece in for every contestant. It’s not the way we do it. You build to regulation, then we inspect,” he told her.
“But we’re holding every builder’s hand for every piece that goes in. It’s not fair. You guys have got to start building, then we’ve gotta start inspecting what you’re building.”
Keith went on to tell Steph and Gian the same thing after they asked for an opinion on how to go about rebuilding the floor structure for their upstairs bathroom.
The handouts for the contestants this year have seemingly come to an end but how will this impact the building moving forward?
