In November 2022, The Block’s Dylan and Jenny passed in their home on auction night and didn’t sell their stunning country house until February. Now, we finally have a price tag after months of mystery.
On The Block’s auction night, House 4 at 225 McGeorge Road Gisborne had the reserve price of $4.08 million and The Age has reported its trading price was significantly less.
According to public records, Dylan and Jenny’s home was traded for $3.9 million which is $180,000 less than the reserved price.
The final price is also $175,000 less than the highest offer made on auction night which was $4,075,000 and was passed in, making for quite the dramatic end to the 2022 season.
Dylan and Jenny’s result comes as a shock given their fan-favourite status on the show. We originally believed Tom and Sarah-Jane drew the short straw on auction night after winning a profit of $20,000 and a Ford Ranger which the couple were forced to sell in order make profit.
Sharon and Ankur at House 3, who also passed in on auction night, took home a profit of $170,000 after their home was sold a few days later for $4,250,000.
Rachel and Ryan sold $169,000 over the reserve, meanwhile Omar and Oz are still on top with a record-breaking profit of $1,586,666.66.
However, that is not to say that Dylan and Jenny are in a bad situation but rather the pair seem to be living their best lives. In late November, the pair moved into their dream Palm Beach home on the Gold Coast.
In April, they decided to put it on the market! And there must have been some good offers as the pair took it off auction and put a competitive price tag on it.
Plus, the couple said “I do” in a stunning wedding ceremony and travelled to Bali, Indonesia for a romantic honeymoon.
